Research shows remarkable progress in the campaign’s effectiveness, with awareness and participation increasing significantly. Campaign exposure has been linked to stronger beliefs in the importance of asking “Are you okay?” and has made people up to six times more likely to reach out to someone experiencing difficulties compared to those not exposed to the campaign.

The urgency of this initiative is underscored by current statistics: approximately 8 people in Australia take their lives daily, with an estimated 65,000 people attempting suicide annually. The impact reaches far into communities, with over 50% of Australians knowing someone who has died by suicide.
