Return of Australia’s Beloved Cooking Show

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) is making its highly anticipated return for its 15th season, premiering on Monday, 1 September on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Six teams will compete for the coveted title of MKR champion and $100,000 prize money, with renowned judges Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel setting high expectations for home-cooking excellence.

Innovation and Controversy on the Menu

According to Manu Feildel, this season promises to showcase cooking’s evolution with contestants bringing new recipes, fresh ingredients, and innovative techniques. The competition will feature diverse personalities ‘firing at 110%’ and notably includes some controversial dishes – with one particular creation set to ‘divide the table and the nation.’

Meet the Competitive Teams

Among the contestants are Justin and Will, united by friendship and competitive spirit. Justin, a gym owner and popular food Instagrammer with South African roots, brings his charismatic cooking style to the kitchen. His teammate Will, a former NRL player for the Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters, complements the team with his Tongan-inspired dishes.

From South Australia, ‘high achievers’ Maria and Bailey bring corporate ambition to the kitchen. Maria runs her own business while Bailey oversees five companies. The pair aims to win at all costs, promising fine dining with an upper-class edge from Bailey’s luxurious three-storey home.

Real Homes, Real Drama

The show maintains its signature format, with teams using their own homes for the ‘Instant Restaurant’ rounds, where they host and prepare three-course menus for judges and fellow competitors.
