Major Network Expansion Takes Flight

Jetstar is undertaking its largest-ever expansion of New Zealand and trans-Tasman network, launching new routes and expanded services. The carrier will introduce a seasonal Brisbane-Queenstown service from June-October next year, alongside new daily flights from Hamilton-Christchurch starting 1 December 2025.

Unprecedented Growth in Capacity

The airline’s ambitious expansion will add more than 660,000 new seats annually. Jetstar is adding nearly 500,000 seats across five of its most popular domestic and trans-Tasman routes, while introducing two new services – one domestic and one to Australia.

Key route expansions include:
– Auckland-Christchurch: Increasing from 8 to 11 daily flights
– Auckland-Brisbane: Growing from 10 per week to twice daily
– Auckland-Sydney: Expanding from 8 to 12 weekly flights
– Christchurch-Melbourne: Moving to daily year-round service
– Auckland-Dunedin: Increasing from 7 to 10 weekly flights

Adelaide Network Enhancement

In a parallel development, Jetstar Airways is significantly expanding its domestic operations centered on Adelaide, introducing over 350,000 additional low-fare seats annually across its network.
