His public service experience includes serving as chairman of Texas State University System’s Board of Regents and holding positions on the boards of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Notably, he has received gubernatorial appointments from four Texas governors from both political parties.

Beyond his current role, Jack Martin has established himself as an entrepreneur, businessman, and rancher. His experience includes serving as a Democratic consultant and leading roles in global public relations.
A significant shift in his business approach occurred in 1994 when his firm decided to focus exclusively on corporations and business groups. Martin maintained his leadership position following the firm’s acquisition by WPP Group in 2006, and later oversaw its merger with Hill & Knowlton in November 2010.
