Major Programming Overhaul and Distribution Victory

Fox News Media (FNM) has launched a series of significant programming changes across both FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN), as announced by FNM CEO Suzanne Scott. The network’s evolution comes at a crucial time in the media landscape.

Programming Changes and Expansion

Key changes include Will Cain taking over the 4 PM/ET weekday timeslot with The Will Cain Show, while Charlie Hurt steps in as the new co-host of FOX & Friends Weekend. Additionally, both The Fox Report and The Big Weekend Show are expanding to two-hour formats on Saturdays and Sundays.

The business network is also seeing changes, with Dagen McDowell joining The Big Money Show, which will expand to a two-hour format from 12-2 PM/ET, while maintaining her role as co-host of The Bottom Line.

Digital Success and Distribution Breakthrough

In a significant development, Fox has successfully reached a distribution deal with YouTube TV, ensuring that its news, business, entertainment, and sports content, including Fox, FS1, the Big Ten Network, and Fox News Channel, will continue to be available on the platform.

This deal is particularly important as YouTube TV, with an estimated 9.5 million customers at the end of 2024, stands as the largest internet-delivered pay TV provider in the United States. The platform recently increased its base subscription price to $82.99 per month, citing rising content costs.

Market Leadership and Future Outlook

Fox News Media continues to operate a diverse portfolio of media assets, including FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, streaming services, and FOX Weather. The network maintains its position as the number one network in cable, having been the most-watched television news channel for more than 22 consecutive years.
