Georgie Tunny is embarking on a new journey at Network 10, transitioning to 10 News+, the network’s brand-new 6pm news and current affairs program, following the conclusion of The Project.

The talented journalist expressed excitement about staying with the Network 10 family, where she will focus on sport, news, and more at 10 News+, which promises to deliver premium, in-depth news, current affairs and insight.

Impressive Broadcasting Background

Well-known to Australian audiences from her time hosting The Project, Tunny has established herself as one of the country’s most engaging and versatile broadcasters. Her extensive experience spans across ABC, Flash, Fox Sports and national radio, including interviews with notable figures such as Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Cruise, and Formula 1 champions Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.

Her sports journalism credentials are particularly noteworthy, having reported pitch-side with the Matildas’ Lydia Williams, co-hosted the Two Good Sports podcast, and traveled to the US as part of the IVLP Fellowship for leading female sports journalists. She has also demonstrated her capability in crisis coverage, having anchored ABC’s rolling Black Summer bushfire coverage in 2019 and reported on the Northern Victoria floods.

New Ventures on the Horizon

Adding to her professional achievements, Tunny is set to appear in the forthcoming season of The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition in 2025, partnering with Rob Mills. She is also preparing to launch her debut book, which will be published by Allen & Unwin in 2025.
