A Streaming Service on the Rise

Following the recent merger with Skydance Media, which received FCC approval in July 2025, Paramount Plus is undergoing significant restructuring. Major Content Acquisitions

In a groundbreaking move, Paramount has secured exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the UFC for $7.7 billion over seven years. Starting in 2026, Paramount+ will become the exclusive streaming platform for all UFC events, with CBS airing select matches.

The platform has also finalized a significant $1.5 billion deal with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, bringing the show exclusively to Paramount+ after an intense bidding war with competitors like HBO Max and Netflix.

Expanding Sports Coverage

The service has further strengthened its sports portfolio by securing an exclusive multi-year agreement with World Rugby. This deal makes Paramount+ the U.S. home for all men’s and women’s World Rugby events through 2029, including the next three Rugby World Cups and all USA national team matches.

Paramount Plus currently offers two main subscription plans. The Essential Plan is priced at $5.99 per month with advertisements, while the Premium Plan provides an ad-free experience. Both plans typically include a free trial period for new subscribers to test the service.
