A New Chapter Begins

Daniel Ricciardo, one of Formula 1’s most celebrated drivers with eight wins in his 13-year career, concluded his F1 journey at the Singapore Grand Prix last September. The 35-year-old Australian was replaced by Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls for the final races of 2024.

Recent Setback and Recovery

Recently, Ricciardo encountered a minor setback when he suffered an injury in a motorcycle accident in Australia. While details remain limited, reports indicate he was in good spirits during treatment. Prior to the incident, he had participated in a real estate conference on the Gold Coast.

Life After Formula 1

In his post-F1 life, Ricciardo has embarked on what he describes as ‘a year of self-exploration.’ After years of living at high speed, he’s embracing a slower pace, engaging in activities like hiking – including a recent adventure in Alaska. The former F1 star has been focused on discovering his identity beyond being a racecar driver, placing greater emphasis on family and friendship.

New Ventures and Appearances

While maintaining a relatively low profile, Ricciardo hasn’t completely stepped away from the public eye. He appeared in Melbourne during the Australian GP weekend to promote his motorsport-inspired fashion brand, Echanté, and was recently spotted in Europe playing padel with fellow drivers Oscar Piastri and George Russell. Adding to his portfolio, he has also announced the launch of a new rosé wine venture, also named ‘Enchanté’.

Legacy in Formula 1

Ricciardo’s most successful period came during his five-year stint with Red Bull between 2014 and 2018, where he secured all but one of his eight career victories. His final victory came at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix while racing for McLaren, a memorable achievement that ended the team’s nine-year winless streak.
